The PhDArts team is proud to present two short video works – trailers – featuring artistic presentations by two PhDArts candidates Maya Rasker and Anja Groten in the new PhDArts installation at the KABK Graduation Show 2023.

'Word and Whetstone' and 'Figuring Things out Together' are the first trailers in an ongoing video series developed in collaboration with graphic designer and visual artist Carmen Dusmet Carrasco.

Together with the PhD candidates, Dusmet Carrasco delves into the written and artistic components of their multi-year artistic PhD research projects to create a window into their artistic research processes.

The trailers will be shown in the PhDArts installation during KABK Graduation Shows and can be viewed on the dissertation pages on the PhDArts website. You can watch Maya Rasker's and Anja Groten's trailers here and here.

PhDArts unveiled a modular installation designed by interior architect Pichaya Puapoomcharoen during the opening of the KABK Graduation Show 2023. The installation features PhDArts candidates' artistic research presentations produced in the framework of obtaining the doctoral degree at Leiden University.
