PhD Defense
To obtain her doctoral degree visual artist Sophie Ernst will publicly defend her research project entitled THE MAGIC OF PROJECTION; AUGMENTATION AND IMMERSION IN MEDIA ART. The public defense takes place in two stages.
On Wednesday 7 December 2016 at 16.00 Ernst will publicly elucidate the artistic work in the exhibition MEMORY: ARCHITECTURE OF BELONGING for the Doctoral Examination Committee, at the Gallery of the Royal Academy of Art The Hague. The exhibition presents a selection of artworks that Ernst made within the framework of her PhD research and takes place from 30 November till 8 December 2016. On Thursday 8 December 2016 at 13.45 Ernst will defend her dissertation entitled THE MAGIC OF PROJECTION; AUGMENTATION AND IMMERSION IN MEDIA ART in the Senate Chamber of Leiden University.
